The mysterious Archduke of Jeuno though rarely ever seen in public, is known throughout the world. Under his leadership the city of Jeuno prospered from a small fishing village to the largest city in the world, linking two continents. Also, many historians believe his leadership and tactics single handedly turned the tide of war against the beastmen. Other than that, little is known of this man who only appeared out of the blue..

The brother of the Archduke, a strange boy who keeps to himself, even more so than Kam'lanaut. Rarely leaving the palace grounds, the boy seems to have a strange power to read minds. But even stranger, how does a young boy get an eye patch like that?

While they rarely speak to the public, they are considered to be the "face" of the Duchy's leadership. Subject to rumor, the facts around them still manage to seem positive. They are the ones that helped Cid develop much of his technology during the war. However the secrets they shared are nothing compared to those which they keep.

The leader of Tenshodo, Aldo is a pirate and smuggler without equal. His past is a sad tale, forced to flee from Tavnazia's destruction leaving his sister Emeline (the intro movie) - a past which he can never forget. Working from within the underground blackmarket of Jeuno, Aldo has begun to suspect something strange is going on within palace of the Archduke.

The sister of Aldo, though she is clearly not Emeline. In reality there is very little we know about her origins, only that Aldo treats her as a sister. The only thing really known, is that she has the strange ability to communicate with all forms of nature.

General of the Duchy Army, Wolfgang is responsible for the protection of the city from enemies, foriengn and domestic. A close childhood friend of Dr. Monberaux, though recently he has drifted from his friend and found himself lost in his duty.

The chief medical examiner of the Duchy and all around nice guy. The doctor used to be best friends with Wolfgang but time and responsiblity have ruined their friendship, though Monberaux still thinks fondly on his old friend.

This old man is the private trainer of the Archduke, though time to time he takes on adventurers as personal tests of his teaching ability. Master in all jobs and skills, he is the perfect fighter. Don't let his age fool you.
