My name's Mog, personal protector of Vana'diel's history. An adventurer named Kerrigan sought me out and bestowed upon me this great task.

Whiiiiiiiich basically means I have to stick around the moghouse while Kerri's out slicin' and dicin' monsters.

Some people have all the luck!

...but that still doesn't make my job easy. The story of Vana'diel is one shrouded in mystery, but I'm here to help you make sense of each section of the guide.

With my help, you'll know more pointless facts than Maat!

Let's begin!

Legends of Old - These are the legends of old, the times looooong looooong ago. Way before I was even a little mogling. Here you'll find the legends of the gods and the history of the Zilart people.

Rise of Nations - These chapters are about the rise of the races we all know today. You'll find all sorts of info on hume, mithra, taru..etc..etc..

Darkness Calls - The chapters listed here are the recent history, right before you (the player) entered the game. You'll find a lot of info regarding the original game here.

The Crystal War - This is the back story of the first game, featuring the rise of Jeuno and the big battle with that nasty Shadow Lord.

Final Fantasy - When the war ended a new day had dawned. This is the story of the first game.

Hidden Past - This chapter goes into detail about the dark secrets of the San d'Orian kingdom.

The 6th Minstery - The secret history of a long lost magic skill reborn in Windurst.

Return of the TaleKeeper - Rumors of a new Galka leader have sprung up in Bastok, could it be true?

The Rise of the Zilart - The tale of the 1st expansion and the rebirth of the ancient Zilart race.

Awakening - The transition between expansion 1 and expansion 2... sooo saaad :(

Ancient Flames Beckon - The first chapter in the Chain's of Promathia saga.

The Isle of Lost Souls - could the lost elvaan kingdom of Tavnazia exist?!?

A Transient Dream - The story gets deeper, and we now meet the lord of dream, Diabolos.

The Cradles of Children Lost - What happens when the people of the outside world meet those lost for so long?

The Return Home - Our heroes must part ways to discover the dark secrets that elude them.

Echoes of Time - The race to the final crystal begins..

In the Light of the Crystal - In the darkest hour there is light... but will it be enough?

Emptiness Bleeds - The dark god is coming...

Twilight - The final battle for the fate of mankind.

Dawn - A new day dawns, and so does a new life.

Notable Quests - these are the quests of importance to the overall storyline and history.

Dynamis - the story of the Shadow Lord after his defeat, what happens when evil cannot die, but good refuses to give up.

Artifact Armor - the personal stories of the special armor quests within the game.

Appendices - These are the facts and tidbits, which at the moment have no place to go.
